COVID-19 Health & Safety Procedures
Cal/OSHA has archived the COVID-19 Prevention Non-Emergency standards (Title 8 Section 3205). As of February 3rd, 2026, these requirements are no longer in effect.
Current guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now address COVID-19 within their general respiratory virus recommendations.
Accordingly, SBCCD employees are no longer required to report positive COVID-19 test results.
SBCCD encourages everyone to follow their healthcare provider’s recommendations and adhere to current public health recommendations. For more information as to how SBCCD manages respiratory illnesses, please visit the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and Communicable Disease Prevention Plan.
